What is Startup Weekend ?
It is a weekend of entrepreneurial creation in Shanghai with a single motto "No Talk, All Action". Distributed freely in groups of about 5 people, the candidates meet the incredible challenge of creating a startup in 54 hours. At the end of the weekend, each group will present their project to a jury.
Who's coming ?
Developers, marketers, designers ... About 50 candidates with high diversity profiles and origins.
And a special team of experts and jury will help the candidates to give the best of themselves during the weekend !
Who organizes it ?
Startup Weekend is an American association and has already organized numerous events in San Francisco, Miami, Stockholm, Paris ... The mood of the Silicon Valley will come to Shanghai during this weekend !
What can I do ?
We are also looking for great sponsors interested in our project.

PITCHES
Pitches on Friday night will be in a “pitch-fire” format, which means you will have just 60 seconds to get the audience interested in your idea. You will have no slides or props, just your voice. You won’t have time to go over features, so just focus on the core of the idea and make your enthusiasm contagious.
In your pitch, we advise you to answer the following questions. Who are you and what is your background ? What is the problem that your product is solving ? What is the product and how it solves the problem ? Who do you need on your team ? What is the name of your project ?
VOTING & FORMING TEAMS
After pitches, you will have more time to meet other candidates. If you pitched an idea, this is your time to start recruiting others that may be interested in your idea. If you did not pitch, or if you are having trouble finding others to join your team, use this time to seek out those that pitched other ideas that you found interesting.
Next, the crowd votes on their favorite pitches. This is simply a way to encourage quick team forming. This is by no means an exclusive process and if you pitched an idea and it is not voted as one of the top ideas, you are more than welcome to work on it if you find some other people who want to work on the idea with you. From there we will form teams and these are the startup ideas that will be worked on over the weekend.

Friday September 9th
6:30pm – Doors open
7:00pm – Kickoff & General Introduction
8:00pm – Pitches Begin, 60 seconds per person
9:30pm – Team forming – then start working!
11:00pm – Roll out
Saturday September 10th
9:30am – Doors open. Breakfast served
10:00am – Teams continue working. Mentors arrive and begin working with teams.
1:00pm – Lunch
1:30pm – Team work, with mentors.
7:00pm – Dinner
11:00 pm – Roll out
Sunday September 11th
9:30am – Doors open. Breakfast served
12:00pm – Lunch
3:00pm – Gut check. Start prepping for presentations
5:00pm – Final presentation
6:30pm – Judging & awards
7:00pm – Party !
